Okay. Couple of days ago, I get a call. Some woman, sounds really spooked, says she’s got something I need to see, something that can blow my train project all to hell.
DELAND
She have a name?
NAPOLITANO
No, but she said she does some work for The Order. Might’ve been that stiff that turned up in Hollywood. Susan Harmon.
DELAND
You pick this thing up she has for you?
NAPOLITANO
It was a map of active methane pockets under the proposed subway route. I’m pretty sure that’s what the guy wants.
DELAND
Methane? Is that some kind of news?
NAPOLITANO
That’s what I don’t get. We’ve known about it for years. It’s harmless if handled properly. Which we’re ready to do as soon as we get approval.
GALLARDO
You show the map to anybody?
NAPOLITANO
Just Celeste.
(off the cops’ looks)
Oh, come on! Larry’s been in a bidding war with The Order for property along that route. I thought she might’ve heard something.
