DUVANE
We own exactly one property on Wilshire.
NAPOLITANO
You mean one that's not managed through a front company.
(off his look)
Look, I'm not here to make trouble for you.
DUVANE
Of course not.
NAPOLITANO
And I don't know what you're up to along my subway route, but I trust it won't cause any unnecessary trouble for me.
DUVANE
That implication is beyond propriety.
NAPOLITANO
I don't imply. That subway is going through, and I won't allow anything to get in its way –- no matter who or what’s behind it.
DUVANE
I am sorry you lost your friend today. You must be very upset.
NAPOLITANO
We both know Larry could be a pain. But yes, I cared about him. And I care about this city.
DUVANE
Of that I have no doubt.
NAPOLITANO
