The Lexus, alone in the driveway, CHIRPS as its headlights FLASH on and off. Napolitano hurries to the car from Celeste’s mansion and gets in.

DOWN THE STREET - THE COPS’ SEDAN

Deland and Gallardo slouch low in their seats, watching as the Lexus peels out.

Deland nods, wondering what the mayor is up to.

INT. NAPOLITANO’S LEXUS (MOVING) - MORNING

Napolitano sits behind the wheel, negotiating the turn onto Sunset. He hits a button on his steering wheel to dial his cell phone and speaks through an unseen microphone.

INT. MORGUE - MORNING

HENDRICKS, 39, sits at a desk cluttered with lab equipment, going over Larry's autopsy report.

Napolitano notices a police cruiser approaching fast, SIREN BLARING. Cars are pulling over.
