DUVANE
They’ll take you both home in the ambulance. Keep her there while I decide what to do next. Do you need help?
SYDNEY
Not so long as she’ll keep taking whatever you’re giving her.

Duvane hands over the bag that Sydney’s been eyeing.

DUVANE
She’ll be out for another four hours. Put a little of this in some juice for her when she wakes up.
SYDNEY
Is there enough for me? Check that -- make mine Oxycontin. A double.
DUVANE
(nothing doing)
You tune yourself up and stay clear. And call me if Celeste shows up.

Sydney shakes his head in dismay as the Orderlies begin to wheel them both out.

INT. HOLDING CELL - NIGHT

Napolitano is asleep on his cot when a shadow falls over him. He stirs at the SOUND of a key CLICKING in his door. He sits up and stares suspiciously at an intruder in his cell --Deland. The suspended detective is wearing a badge, and carrying an overnight bag. Deland puts a finger to his lips, as Napolitano takes a moment to get oriented, then speaks in a loud whisper.

NAPOLITANO
How’d you get in here? You got your badge back?
DELAND
I’ll explain later. Put this on.

He hands Napolitano the bag.

EXT. SHERIFF’S SUBSTATION – NIGHT

Napolitano, disguised in a wig, with bandages on his head and clean clothes, is escorted out a side entrance in handcuffs by Deland. Deland nods to a Deputy standing guard and leads Napolitano to his Crown Vic. He shoves him in the back, gets in the front and drives off.
