The solstice, and a hiatus

It's the solstice today, the first day of summer, and it's not only June gloomy and fogged in, we actually had rain here this morning. So instead of a photo of monochromatic gray to start the new season, here's a solstice sunrise shot in Paradise Cove in 2007, the sun at the farthest edge of it's annual journey east, and the marine layer in ready-for-summer retreat.

Meanwhile, this blog will go on continue a brief hiatus but will, Girl Scout's honor, return soon.
