There's a hiking trail that winds through the mountains, goes north to south, from the Santa Monicas to the sea.

One day someone made a few sculptures:

And a few days later, someone else knocked them down. Ever since it's been a back-and-forth, the sculptures up, then down, then up, then down. The up side of things is winning:
