Hummers hatch

Three weeks ago, I posted a story about the hummingbird who had built a nest in the schefflera bush in my entryway.

I'm pleased to report today that both eggs hatched, and the birdettes seem to be doing well. I caught Mom feeding the wee ones this morning, and motherhood seems to suit her -- she didn't even seem annoyed that I had intruded on the family's breakfast.
