Artist Gary Sweeney's family home in Manhattan Beach will soon be demolished for condos. But first, he has covered the house with photos from his childhood. It's an homage to his family's long history in the beach town. Sweeney, who now lives in Texas, is staying in his old home all this month and opening the doors to the public on Wednesday afternoons.
The display, visible from the street and alley, will be up through Feb. 29 at 320 35th Street. Sweeney will provide guided tours of the exhibit every Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
