The final episode of "Mad Men" screened Sunday night at the Ace Hotel theater a couple of hours ahead of the Pacific time zone re-run on AMC. The cast was there with creator Matthew Weiner. The episode was preceded by a live read of the Season 1 episode "The Wheel," with Fred Savage, Colin Hanks and others, brought together by Film Independent's Jason Reitman.
The theater was sold out and the crowd was very enthusiastic. Weiner thanked the audience for their loyalty and they cheered, laughed and cried through the finale — and snapped cellphone photos of the cast. The actors signed autographs for fans as well.
