This past Saturday at the Bradbury Building, the Da Camera Society put on a concert by the Italian Saxophone Quartet, which gave a beautiful performance of music of the cinema including Ennio Morricone's haunting music from "Cinema Paradiso," "The Mission," "Once Upon a Time in the West" and "The Legend of 1900." The concert also included music from Gershwin, Michael Nyman and Astor Piazzolla.

Hearing these compositions sitting on the soaring balconies of the Bradbury was as close to a religious experience as you could get without being in church.
