The Dow is taking off this morning because House Speaker John Boehner apparently has agreed to bring the Senate-crafted measure - still being finalized - to a floor vote, which means that most all Democrats would join with enough Republicans to pass the thing and avert crisis. The House is expected to vote first; then it's onto the Senate and President Obama's signature. The deal would fund the government through mid-January and raise the debt ceiling through Feb. 7. The Affordable Care Act remains almost totally in place; the only tweak involves income verification rules for people getting subsidized coverage.
RT @sahilkapur Multiple Senate sources say Boehner has agreed to vote first on the Reid-McConnell deal. Game over.
