Villaraigosa's non-denial denial that he has no money

Put on those tap shoes! The outgoing mayor (38 days but hey, whose counting?) pooh-poohed the LA Weekly's not-so-flattering examination of his finances and what he might do when he leaves office. Villaraigosa said he plans to embrace the future with "a big smile," adding that Angelenos care more about stuff like crime and traffic (not to be confused with his long-range transportation juggernauts). Hearing him answer questions this morning tells you a little something about this very flawed mayor. Mr. Garcetti, take notes.
