Good news/bad news on LAX renovation

photo1tombradley.JPG Good news is that it's coming along; the first phase of the expanded-and-overhauled Bradley Terminal is expected to open next April. The bad news is a bunch of road closures, starting Tuesday. That includes:

--The three curving inner lanes on lower World Way, between the west end of Terminal 3 to the north end of the Tom Bradley International Terminal.

--The curving curbside lane of upper World Way, between the west end of Terminal 3 to the north end of International terminal.

--Escalators and stairs on the north side of Bradley terminal -- between the terminal's north end on lower and upper World Ways will be closed through September 2012. The escalator on the south side will stay open.
