*How low has the Daily News sunk?

Back in the early 90s, I remember the paper making a huge deal about how its circulation had topped 200,000. And now? From the Business Journal:

The Daily News has been in a free fall. Since 2005, its weekday print circulation has dropped 62 percent, from 169,000 to 64,000. As a result, the paper, which had employed a staff of almost 100 in its Woodland Hills newsroom two decades ago, is down to about 10 full-time editorial employees.

Astounding.

*Not sure where they got the 10 full-time editorial employees, but the website lists more than 30 names with a Daily News email address.

**Business Journal has corrected its story -- now has 55 in editorial at the DN.
