Cops declare unlawful assembly at Port of Long Beach

They've cleared about 200 Occupy protesters who blocked an entrance to Pier J for about half an hour. There was a little traffic congestion, but minimal impact on port operations. At last check, the marchers were moved into a parking lot by Harry Bridges Memorial Park. So far, two arrests have been made. Organizers have failed to draw any interest from longshoremen and port truckers. If anything, the truckers are ticked off at the prospect of lost business today. Way to go, occupiers. (LAT)
