No special reason, it seems - just more of the same concerns about European debt and Washington's inability to reach any compromise on economic fixes (the Obama speech isn't doing much good). The Dow lost 303 points, or 2.7 percent, to close at 10,992. Keep in mind that September is historically the worst month of the year for stocks.
