Those Kardashians sure know how to make a buck

That includes the big weekend wedding in Montecito, which could generate revenue of around $18 million. E! Entertainment alone is supposedly forking over $15 million, according to The Wrap, for material to be used in a four-hour special, "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event." Add to that the $2.5 million People magazine is paying for exclusive photos.

Then there are the freebies. In exchange for publicity, the couple made deals that would shame NASCAR (or "American Idol"). The 30-year-old bride wore a comped $20,000 Vera Wang gown -- which the New York Post reports was just one among the three dresses she received from the designer. There was also a $10,000 black and white wedding cake from Hansen's Bakery in Los Angeles, $400,000 in Perrier Jouet Champagne, $10,000 in Lehr & Black wedding invitations -- all complementary.

As for the cost of the wedding, estimates range from $500,000 to $10 million. Frankly I question all these numbers (sounds like the publicists had a field day on this), though it wouldn't be surprising to discover Kardashian & Co. was only too happy to parlay the wedding into a business event. It's what these folks live for.
