Good news is that two of Southern California's most successful industries, entertainment and technology, probably won't be impacted all that much. But it's different for the defense business. There's a trigger mechanism in the debt legislation that would go into effect if lawmakers can't agree on additional cuts, and defense would bear the brunt of those reductions.
