Only a small dip in gas prices

Told you that they go up a lot faster than they go down. Latest government report shows that an average gallon in the L.A. area is $4.258, just three pennies lower than last week - and still well over a dollar a gallon higher than last fall. That's despite big drops in oil and gasoline futures. The experts remain convinced that pump prices will fall by bigger amounts over the next month or two. Meanwhile, more than 6 in 10 Americans say that going away on vacation this year is important, according to a Gallup poll, even if it means spending more on fuel costs.
