The governor is asking Californians to demand that his tax-and-cuts budget be placed on the ballot. "Would you like a chance to cast this vote or would you feel it's appropriate to shut out the people of California?" he says in the spare but surprisingly effective video. As of this morning, however, there's no sign that he's won the support of any Republican lawmaker in getting the tax extension plan to voters this summer.
