Clearly those guys aren't interested in dealing with a key part of the governor's budget plan - even though they claim otherwise - and Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg says he's "prepared to pull the plug" and move forward with floor votes on a June tax election. What if they don't get the two-thirds vote? "Then we are going to consider the other pathways," said Steinberg, presumably meaning a ballot initiative on the tax plan, most likely in November. "It is high time that this come to a close here." In above clip, he talks to reporters (you get the gist in the first three or so minutes).
