That's right, these are the same folks who led the bookstore chain into bankruptcy protection, resulting in thousands of lost jobs and hundreds of store closures. The proposed $8 million in bonuses include nearly $1.7 million to CEO Mike Edwards. Most likely the company will argue in court papers that these senior executives are needed to reorganize the company. That's the typical corporate pipe for such outrageous actions. (WSJ)
