Normally, the employment report for the previous month comes out at about now, but this time of year the state's number crunchers go through a revision process that delays the regular schedule. So January's numbers won't come out until March 4, which is when the feds will come out with their report for February. In case you forgot, the state's jobless rate in December was 12.5 percent, and L.A. County was at 13 percent. It's hard to see L.A. unemployment getting much higher than that.
