Dow finished the day down 107 points, to 12,105. Oil prices were trading at close to $100 a barrel in NY, which got everybody's attention, and Hewlett-Packard reported disappointing sales, which was also a cause for concern. Or perhaps it was just faux concern - investors had been waiting for an excuse to put the brakes on the sustained rally. Of course, if oil prices keep going up, we could be in for a protracted period of selling.
