Pretty good earnings and economics news made for a strong day. Also helping was some stability in oil prices. Egyptian situation still seems quite shaky, even with Mubarak saying he won't run again, but investors were obviously thinking positive thoughts. Dow finishes up 148 points, to 12,040. It's the first time the index has closed above 12,000 in two-and-a- half years.
