Federal regulators were making last-minute revisions over the weekend, and the FCC could sign off on the cable giant's acquisition of the entertainment giant as early as Tuesday, the WSJ is reporting. That would be followed by approval from the Justice Department.
Comcast has agreed to a variety of conditions, including providing more space on its cable systems for independently-owned channels, guaranteeing the independence of NBC news operations, airing more children's programming and keeping NBC network programming on free over-the-air TV channels.
