Locations in Encino and Calabasas are expected to be shuttered by the end of the year. Developer Rick Caruso said he has already leased the Encino space to CVS Caremark (Caruso tells the Daily News that he's trying to convince Barnes & Noble to keep the Calabasas store). Get used to the B&N closures - the struggling book store chain has several hundred leases up for renewal in the next four years and there's no way that they will all stay open.
