Latest on Newsweek bids

Final bids for the newsmagazine are due in three hours. The Wrap reports that those still in contention include:

--A group made up of Fred Drasner, former owner of U.S. News & World Report, Alan Webber, co-founder of Fast Company, and Paul Ingrassia, ex-Dow Jones Newswires president.

--Sidney Harman, husband of Rep. Jane Harman.

--OpenGate Capital, the L.A.-based investment firm.

One name that has dropped out, according to The Wrap, is Newsmax Media, the conservative magazine publisher. There's still speculation about Bloomberg getting involved as well.
