Today is the deadline for comments on cable giant Comcast's acquisition of NBC Universal. Those in favor of the deal: The Directors Guild of America, Govs. Arnold Schwarzenegger and David Paterson, and the NBC affiliate stations (with conditions). Those opposed include the Writers Guild, West, Bloomberg, and advocacy groups such as Free Press, Media Access Project and Common Cause. DirecTV is also expected to weigh in. Regulators are supposed to make a decision by the end of the year or early next year.
