Shutting off L.A. power?

Sounds like a plan, according to an msnbc online poll:

Should Arizona have the right to pull the plug on L.A. if the city goes through its boycott?

--Yes: 86%
--No: 13%
--Don't know: 1.3%

Meanwhile, L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said in a statement that Arizona "has isolated itself from the America that values freedom, liberty and basic civil rights." Ah yes, always on top of the public mood. He was responding to a faux-threat from a member of the Arizona Corporation Commission who suggested that Arizona could cut its power agreements with L.A. if the boycott plays out. That's not about to happen for all kinds of reasons, but wouldn't it be nifty to see the mayor and council members try to explain away their actions to millions of raging Angelenos who couldn't care less about anything other than watching their big-screen TV tonight.
