Blogger Rob Pitingolo used Census Bureau data to find that SF had 7,031 bachelor and graduate degrees per square mile, more than another city in the nation. NY was second, at 6,357. Then Boston (3,871). L.A. was 11th, at 1,596, right below Miami. Miami? Oklahoma City was last on the list of 52, at 159. I'm not sure what any of this really means - SF and NY are much denser than L.A. so you would expect the numbers to be higher - but it's an interesting way to pass the time before the Celtics-Magic game.
