The celebrated "Nu au Plateau de Sculpteur (Nude, Green Leaves and Bust)," sold in NY tonight for $106.5 million, a record auction price for a work of art. The painting comes from the collection of L.A. philanthropist Frances Lasker Brody, who died last fall and was the wife of the real estate developer Sidney Brody. It's one of several pieces being sold by the Brody estate. Also being sold is the Brody home in Holmby Hills. Price is $25 million. (NYT)
