That would be listening to Peter Kazanjy, who is the 30-year-old co-founder of a Web site called GetUnvarnished.com, where most anyone can post "reviews" about anyone else - anonymously. You might have heard about this nonsense - just out of beta testing, it's gotten tons of press, much of it negative (here's an LAT piece). Lawyers say the site is a "litigation nightmare" (we can only hope). Anyway, Kazanjy was on KPCC's "Airtalk" this morning, where he engaged in amazing amounts of doubletalk about how Unvarnished is another step in the social media revolution and how any effort by users to defame people somehow can be controlled on the site. Here's the link - good luck figuring out his explanations.
