So much for Republican claims that "Americans" oppose the legislation, as if we are all grouped into one neat package. New USA Today/Gallup poll finds that 49 percent call the bill a good thing and 40 percent a bad thing. I'm not sure I believe those numbers any more than the ones in recent weeks that showed more nays than yeas. Whatever your leanings, it's pretty obvious that we don't have the first clue as to whether this will turn out to be a good or a bad thing - and won't for quite a while.
