Despite all the negative press in recent days, including yesterday's lawsuit by a sergeant who claims his likeness was used without compensation, "The Hurt Locker" is seen as having a 56 percent chance of winning the Best Picture, according to Intrade, the online trading site. That's three points higher than a couple of days ago. Moreover, director Kathryn Bigelow is given an 82 percent chance of winning Best Director. In case you're wondering, 59 of 80 films have won both Best Director and Best Picture Oscars. It happened last year, with Danny Boyle winning for Best Director for "Slumdog Millionaire," which also won as Best Picture.
