Tesla employees in crash

A twin-engine Cessna crashed just after take off this morning from Palo Alto Airport en route to Hawthorne. All three people on board were killed. The plane, which apparently struck a transmission tower, was owned by Doug Bourn, a senior electrical engineer for the electric-car company. No word on who any of the victims were. Tesla CEO Elon Musk is not believed to have been on board, according to Silicon Alley Insider. Visibility had been very poor, with all three Bay Area commercial airports were fogged in before 10 a.m. (Mercury News)
