Will Crazy Gideon close?

crazy.jpgHe might really mean it this time. Inventory is scheduled to be auctioned off on Saturday morning (goods can be previewed tomorrow and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) After that, the downtown electronics store will shut down for good. We think. Late last year "Crazy" Gideon Kotzer put his building up for sale but has since taken it off the market. From the Downtown News:

Kotzer previously announced plans to turn the 39,00-square-foot store building at 814-828 E. Traction Ave. into a mixed-use project with 31 adaptive reuse units and 44 new live-work units. The project is on hold for at least three years due to the economy, Kotzer said, but in the meantime he plans to open an art exhibit space at the property.
