The case that started off with sensational allegations of drug use and illicit sex ends with U.S. District Judge Cormac J. Carney dismissing drug-related charges against Broadcom co-founder Henry Nicholas. In December, Carney threw out charges involving backdating stock options. The dismissals came after the judge accused the prosecution of misconduct. (LAT)
