All Things Digital's Kara Swisher reports that MySpace, the struggling social networking site, is going after SF-based Flixster, a social networking site that focuses on movies. Flixster has a huge following - upwards of 50 million visitors - and seems to fit into the MySpace plan to stop chasing after Facebook and concentrate on entertainment. Swisher says MySpace, which is owned by News Corp., is in the due diligence phase. Idea would be to combine Flixster with Rotten Tomatoes, another News Corp.-owned site.
