That would be L.A.-based J Brand, one of the first denim companies to push the skinny-leg jean look. California Apparel News reports that the interested buyer is Star Avenue Capital, an investment firm in Century City. Purchase price would be in the $90 million range. If the deal goes through, it would be one of the few to be completed this year in the local apparel biz. Investment banking firm the Sage Group is handling the deal for J Brand.
