Not everybody's hurting - the folks at Summit Entertainment saw "New Moon," their latest installment of the Twiilight saga, take in $140.7 million during its opening weekend. Only "The Dark Knight" and "Spider-Man 3″ have done better in a single weekend. A couple of things worth noting: The box office potency of teenage girls and the value of turning movies into communal events (evidenced by all those sold-out midnight shows). The film only got so-so reviews, but with so much money generated from advance ticket sales - along with the requirement in some social circles to see the dang thing no matter what - the question of good or bad doesn't much matter. The next film, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," arrives in theaters June 20. (USA Today)
