If you don't have tickets to the Lakers game or the premiere of the Michael Jackson movie "This is It," you might want to steer clear of the Staples/Nokia complex. Expect traffic to start building by around 3. All told, you're looking at 25,000 people jammed into a pretty tight area - and most all of them coming from someplace else. It's hard to deny the area's growing popularity - not so much as a place to hang out (L.A. Live is an amazingly uninviting complex), but as a destination for big events. (LAT)
