The hardest place in Orange County to find a home to buy - at least based on the hypothetical "market time" (supply of homes vs. new purchases in the past month) - is Aliso Viejo, where it's taking under a month. That's followed by Westminster and Anaheim. Coldest market is Laguna Beach (11 months). After that, it's the Newport Coast and Newport Beach. As a rule, the colder the market the higher the average listing price - Aliso Viejo is $459,000 while Laguna Beach is $4 million. (Jon Lansner)
