Back in the money pool

This weekend, the folks from "This American Life" follow up their memorable 2008 show on the subprime mortgage crisis called "The Giant Pool of Money." The hour-long segment, which won a Peabody Award, was one of the first comprehensible primers on how the real estate market got so out of hand. It also had real people telling some incredible stories. Adam Davidson, one of the reporters on the show, did a curtain raiser on today's "Morning Edition." What's amazing - well maybe not so amazing - is that one of the homeowners interviewed last year still hasn't heard from his lender. "TAL" airs Saturday at 1 and Sunday at 6 on KPCC and Saturday at 10 on KCRW. And of course it'll be on the Web.
