Ferragamo is hiring!

Position is available at South Coast Plaza. Pay is $8 an hour, plus 4 percent commission for working 20 to 25 hours a week, according to the OC Register's Handling Hard Times blog. Don't spend it all in one place.

Over in Torrance, meanwhile, young bikini-clad baristas are being hired at minimum wage (also eight bucks an hour) to serve up lattes and cappuccinos. The owner says the bulk of their pay will be through tips. "You're not just tipping for the coffee," explains Gary Gillett. Needless to say, this has been all over local news, though the idea is not new. (Washington State has bunches of bikini baristas). Story from Daily Breeze.
