The landmark downtown hotel at 5th and Main is being sold to affordable housing provider Amerland Group, blogdowntown is posting. No word yet on what Amerland plans to do with the property, which saw some pretty rough days a decade or so ago when Skid Row was out of control. Several months back, the Rosslyn was in escrow to be sold to an affordable housing provider, but locals became upset about plans for a tenant mix that targeted 50 percent of the units toward chronically homeless people with substance abuse and mental health issues.
