The Auto Club's weekly survey finds that the average gallon of regular in the L.A. area is now $2.938 per gallon, up 11.3 cents from last week and 52 cents from last month. Auto Club spokesman Jeffrey Spring notes that most everyone in Socal is paying about the same, which is unusual and probably the result of retailers being reluctant to raise prices over $3.
