Exhaling in Burbank

Jay Leno will be off again tonight, but NBC says that the late-night host will return on Monday. He wasn't feeling well Thursday morning and checked into Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, forcing the network to run a repeat of the "Tonight Show." Same deal tonight. Leno, who apparently had some sort of stomach virus, is being released this afternoon. The NBC honchos must have been in freak-out mode yesterday morning because starting this fall Leno will be responsible for the network's 10-11 p.m. time slot five nights a week. That's a lot riding on one guy. (NYT)
