Is LAT magazine history?

No announcement so far, but that's the strong rumor making the rounds in the Times newsroom. You may recall that last year the Sunday magazine went from weekly publication to more of an occasional event, with theme issues on travel, fashion and the like. Folks at the Times say that it's part of an overall cutback within the Features section (and elsewhere in the newsroom). Over at the LAO mother ship, Kevin has been reporting on the impending cuts for some time. Other news: LAT business writer Thomas Mulligan is leaving the paper to join Sitrick & Co. And Asst. Biz Editor Anne Reifenberg is headed to Bloomberg's L.A. bureau.
