Deputy Editor Glenn Hall will be leaving the paper to become editor of TheStreet.com in NY. Register Editor Ken Brusic said Hall told him that the move was not prompted by the recent round of layoffs or any lack of confidence in the paper. Hall oversaw the decision to move the Register’s business section into main news - as well as the elimination of most stock listings. Since 2007, he has been deputy editor in charge of innovation and business (before that he was the paper's business editor). Hall was also at Bloomberg for 10 years.
